Michael McCarthy, CFA

J. Michael McCarthy, CFA, Managing Director of Neuberger Berman’s Private Investment Portfolios Group and Head of Infrastructure, joined the firm in 2022. Previously, Michael was a senior portfolio manager with APG Asset Management, where he managed a multibillion-dollar portfolio of direct equity, joint-venture and limited partnership assets across the Americas. Prior to APG, he was at UBS Investment Bank in both the Office of the Chairman and the Americas Infrastructure groups. Previously, he was a founding employee of Infrastructure Ontario, responsible for pioneering the development of public-private partnership projects in Ontario, where he ultimately served as vice president, New Build Nuclear Procurement. Michael began his career with Ernst & Young Corporate Finance. He has served on several Boards, including multiple toll-roads, fiber provider Conterra Networks, as well as several joint-venture and limited partnership advisory Boards. He holds a B.
