Biography
Marypat Smucker, CFA, is Principal of Parallelle Finance, a gender lens investment research firm founded in 2019. In addition to Parallelle’s comprehensive quarterly reviews on gender lens investing, Marypat has written and published numerous articles on gender lens funds and instruments, women in finance and technology, and women in the global economy. The Parallelle Finance Scorecard scores gender lens equity funds on a range of qualitative and quantitative criteria.
Prior to co-founding Parallelle Finance, Marypat served as an investment communications consultant and writer to global asset management clients. Her prior roles include Managing Editor for institutional investment communications at T. Rowe Price, Manager at KPMG Transaction Services, and Analyst at Emerging Markets Partnership, a private equity firm. Marypat holds an MA in Economics from American University and an MS in Finance from George Washington University. She lives in Seattle, Washington
