Biography
Tobias Ripka is an investment director in Investment Product & Fund Strategies in our Frankfurt office. In that role, he works closely with our Fixed Income Investment Team to help ensure the integrity of their investment approaches. This includes meeting regularly with investment teams and overseeing portfolio positioning, performance, and risk exposures. In addition, he contributes to developing new client solutions and managing business issues. He also works closely with clients and prospects to communicate/discuss our philosophy, investment ideas, strategy, and positioning.
Before joining Wellington, Tobias spent the entirety of his 15-year career at Mercer in Frankfurt, London, and Zurich — most recently as a partner in Frankfurt co-heading the German investments business. In that role, he was a member of the German Management Team, where he worked to develop Mercer’s investment business in Germany and advised key clients on strategic asset allocation, portfolio structuring, and strategy implementation across traditional and alternative investments. Over the years, he had various specialist roles including lead researcher for private debt in Europe and head of investment solutions private markets.
