CFA Society Germany membership demonstrates your commitment to professional excellence, underscoring your role as an actively engaged investment professional.

Depending on your individual requirements, you can choose from three different membership categories at CFA Society Germany.
By becoming a member of your local Society you help to promote the establishment of professional and ethical standards in the German investment industry and to further enhance the reputation of the CFA® Program in Germany. Additionally, you enjoy member benefits, e.g. participating at events at a reduce member price or free of charge.

Stay ahead of the curve

The investment industry is subject to constant change. This makes it all the more important to keep up to date. CFA Society Germany offers more than 80 events of different formats every year. As a member you can attend most of these events free of charge and collect Professional Learning Credits (PL).

Increasing the level of awareness of the CFA Charter

The CFA Society Germany is in dialogue with key local stakeholders to underscore the value of the CFA Charter in Germany. Your support as a member helps to make this possible.

Regular Membership

For whom?

If you have at least passed Level I of the CFA® Program and have at least 4,000 hours of professional work experience in the investment decision-making process accumulated in a minimum of 36 months, you can apply for regular membership with CFA Society Germany. Regular members are entitled to vote in the annual general meeting of CFA Society Germany.

Membership fee

The membership year runs from July 1st to June 30th of the following year. After that date, membership is not automatically renewed. The membership fee at CFA Society Germany is 120US$.

Affiliate Membership

For whom?

Affiliate Membership is suitable for you if you do not intend to go through the CFA Program or CIPM Program and have at least 24 months of relevant work experience.

Membership fee

The membership year runs from July 1 to June 30 of the following year. After that date, membership is not automatically renewed. The membership of CFA Society Germany costs 120US$.

CFA Candidate Membership

For Whom?

The Candidate Membership is for CFA Program Candidates and those who have passed all three levels, but do not yet have the necessary work experience (Charter pending) More details about the Candidate Membership can be found here.

Membership fee

The membership year starts with the registration, the costs are 75€. The Candidate Membership is not automatically renewed after one year.
